Highly experimental band with a powerful atmosphere. Usually the band plays very orchestral doom, but even when they don't, they still incorporate a lot of instruments along with the normal guitar, bass and drums. Examples of this is an organ and a piano. The music varies from mid paced tempos to slower ones. Influenced by gothic/doom, melodic death metal and experimental music.

[...] si tratta certamente di un disco estremamente ricco di idee, variegato e molto piacevole da ascoltare, ma proprio per questo per niente immediato. Chi dovesse accostarsi ad esso aspettandosi un album “canonico” rischierebbe di rimanerne estremamente deluso e di non riuscire neanche ad apprezzare lo sforzo fatto da questi ragazzi. Certamente i Circus of Damnation son riusciti, già dalla prima uscita, a trovare una propria marcatissima identità, cosa non sempre facile, che, nel bene e nel male ne decreterà quasi sicuramente il destino [...] la loro musica potrebbe quasi non essere neanche definita metal con inserti sinfonici, bensì al contrario musica classica con passaggi black [...]

[...] se puede imaginar muchas cosas simplemente por ver la portada, yo caí en la equivocación de juzgarlo solo por eso y al igual que los libros el contenido es lo importante. Esto fue un enorme error de mi parte, me estaba perdiendo de un excelente disco [...] una voz espeluznante y donde escuchamos sonidos un tanto tétricos donde
el teclado es el instrumento principal y crea una melodía que bien pudo haberse usado para ambientar una película de Terror. [...] Ya que termina el Intro y una vez que has entrado al Circo de la Condenación, ya no hay regreso.
