The latest big band on the Irish Folk Punk scene and these lot write their own songs you know! Brògeal hail from Falkirk and their new single is the title track of their debut album.A band that have been on our radar for a while it would be a travesty if they didn’t get some more of the attention that at the moment is going to much lesser bands. With a working class Celtic heart the Bhoys are a far more deserving band as heirs to The Pogues legacy with their humour (black and otherwise) and passion. While not averse to the auld cover it’s far from their mission and it’s their own songs that shine at their gigs. I was going to write more but on reading the bio from their web-site I think it’d be much more fun for you to read than my thoughts… oh and that debut album comes out on October 17 kickstarting a massive tour.
