Chapter III: Season of the Spine directly follows the Slumdweller story from Chapter II: Winter in the Wastes.
After emerging from the solitude-filled forest, a lone man finds himself within a foggy, horror-filled world, worse than before he left. Humans and creatures hunting other humans and severing their organs and body parts to stitch into someone else for a profit. Welcome to this carnival of mutilation.
Evolving from both the Neofolk and Stoner Metal elements of the prior two albums, Chapter III: Season of the Spine moves back and forth from Neofolk to Metal with heavy orchestral sections throughout.
