This album signals a change in direction; from the work evolving as a process of manipulating the field recordings towards a more compositionally-based flow of processing the field recordings to conform to a more-or-less planned structure.
It is not a direction I planned to take. In fact, it is a direction I fought against to some degree. But these pieces are presented in the actual chronological order they were produced (Cavity is one of the very first field recordings I made as K43dg3) and demonstrate an almost linear evolution of style.
Change is inevitable, hopefully it will be for the better.
