HYPROB23 is here... and for it, renowned YouTube video essayist Captain KRB gives us two speedy, synthy tracks with plentiful abstract drum patterns too. Coming fresh out of rural Alaska, the impact of the 1980s is audible and expected when the music comes from a place that's barely escaped them. Even so, more recent leftfield techno influences can be heard, and this single is sure to please fans of Pilotredsun in particular.
Side A, '7 Miles From Subway', is a heartfelt ode to the only fast food chain within a 400 mile radius of where he resides.
Side B, 'Fragments of Polaris', hones in on the 80s video rental store commercial feel, while continuing to deliver juicy scattered beats on top giving the sound a fresh new life.
Kieran sent me three blank white tapes by carrier pigeon about 7 and a half months ago and they've just arrived (conveniently in time for Bandcamp Friday), so I've labelled them and they are now available to be purchased!
