in the dull reaches of space, two souls once travelled in the same orbit. they shone brighter together.
this EP tells the story of these two satellites, and how in slowly losing their gravitational centre in the other, falling out of each other's orbit and spinning out aimlessly, they begin to move into new galaxies, change, and move forward.

i could have missed it - a small voice, reflected across the water.

we hurtled through space.
almost listless, almost aimless. but i
was wiser in your light.
the path laid before me, bound to your orbit.
minutes passed, hours passed, days passed.

we'd burn up before we could touch the ground:
when we become untethered, and we spiral.
listless. aimless.
you said we looked like satellites:
always spinning in and out of orbit.
always turning around,
and around, in parallel,
as the light fades.
but still, we move forward.
years go by, as i grow older,
and the light goes dim.
we travel upon galaxies. it's not the end. it keeps moving forward.
so when it's dark out, and there's a void above -
stretching out wider and wider,
where you float suspended,
spiralling, slipping further out of reach -
though i know i won't see your face again,
and i know i won't feel that light...
we are like satellites.
