BLOWSIGHT’s music is as catchy as a manga, and as deep as the lakes in their homecountry Sweden. BLOWSIGHT does not only mean to have the right attitude but it also means to celebrate the future of music which is heavy and melodic - Popmetalpunk from a future generation being made audible for our present times. The Stockholm based quartet has been around for over 5 years now. Their burning desire to play music, and constant touring with major acts like Danzig, Cinema Bizarre and Life Of Agony just to name a few, made Blowsight reach people all over the world. Their mix between raw, punky energy and emotional lyrics, combined with polished pop flavours could not be any better. In the spring of 2007, Blowsight won an important Swedish music competition beating 16.000 other bands . This incident lead to a record deal with Sony/BMG who released the EP "I'll Be Around". The EP also included the highly anticipated cover of Britney Spears’ 'Toxic', which influenced Blowsighters all over the globe to make their own video versions of the cover on Youtube, reaching a total of nearly half a million views. In Sweden, the first edition of the EP sold out in less than a month. A short time after the band released their debut full-length album entitled 'Destination Terrorville' all by themselves. It was one of most diverse albums in that genre. Magazines and websites praised it to the sky with words like "[Blowsight] takes care of a genre the somehow fell asleep and reignites it", "…the only question is - what record label will be the quickest and smartest?". Sweden’s leading rock magazine described the album as "A hard rock buffet for anyone who is willing to broaden their musical horizon. And it does taste wonderful", while Metal Hammer crowned them as "Band of the month". This year, 'Destination Terrorville' is being released through Fastball Music/Sony and it is refuelled with the bonus track 'Teenage Rockstar', showing the masses what they can expect from upcoming Blowsight releases- more energy, more colours - and more emotions. Needless to say, the right attitude, the right songs and the right melodies will take Blowsight up to the level they belong. The new translation of “never being a part of the past again “should be BLOWSIGHT.Expand
