"Love is a spiral." - Emmanuella Moore, "The Secret Adventures of Vivi D'Bloom" (Clear Sky Press, 1986)
This is a Möbius sound collage about friendship, compassion, compression, and the ocean within. I made it with my best friend Devyn using extracted sound files from some of the games* in my sister's CD-ROM collection. Certain corrupted files have been recreated using an online simulation emulator (Memex), sampling wizardry, and electrical tape.
This is a kiss from me to you and to our Great Mother. It is an offering to all human beans. My wish is for it to bring entertainment and provoke thought in any of you who choose to listen. Making this was very challenging but I'm filled with gratitude to have been gifted the opportunity to do so.
This is an artwork fragmented for convenience and aesthetic purposes, but it was created and designed as a whole, so for any of you with an interest in experiencing this project as it was originally intended please go ahead and download it and listen in an audio player that offers gapless playback, as I believe streaming directly from the website creates a short pause between the tracks, which breaks the spell and spoils the broth. But it's not that big of a deal really.
