As the recent past years got harder and harder to live with a balanced mental health, playing music seems to be the only way for us to gather people together, express feelings, get ton know and understand each other, and spread positive energy.At least for now. This albums has been written very quickly within a week in may 2021.A this time, I was deeply into the process of working on another record which seemed to last like years.The urge of creating something spontaneous appeared like a deep breathing. After bringing the songs to another band (as Pretty Inside was very busy the at the time), I burried them somewhere because it didn't work out. In may 2023, the Pretty Inside band need something to work on and move on so I brought the songs to the band. We worked on it a few weeks before going to the studio. The songs have been reharsaled in order to be played and recorded live in a week: no mistake allowed. We set up a home studio at Augustin's house and record it with the help of our live sounbd ingenieer and good friend Eòin Ó Coast. Playing and recording live what the fun experience that really tied us up as a rock band. We were lookinf for a live energy. Hope you'll find it here. Most of the lyrics come from automatic writting, which was another way to reach this urgent and spontaneous feeling. Even though no clear message was intended to be sent, most of the lyrics are bout demistifying the ideal of romantic love, "caring about" someone, actually not. But it's not as simple as black and white as the songs often look like typical rock love song stereotypes. Which I love. However, this ideal is a terrific source of madnesse, pain, and toxic relationships. There always are two sides on a coin. Anyway, I would really apreciate these songs to be received as cries for hope and warm places to find comfort. True love might not be a romantic ego and sex drive relationship. It can be found through simple things as moments of friendship, simple songs, and just staring at birds flying instead of locking them in a cage. I care about you. Alexis… Expand
