"I find this, on the whole, to be a quite fascinating experimental/hybrid work that defies any simple genre label (if I were to invent one it would probably have to be something like Post-Blackened/Ambient Doom...). It's been well thought-out and well-crafted, structured with some discipline, yet retaining a sense of Italian flair and theatricality. Significantly more instrumentally-inclined and atmospherically-slanted than most Black-influenced projects, it's stripped-down and skeletal enough to also defy any easy comparisons - most of which would be partial and misleading. It's simply esoteric, far off the beaten track, and well worth investigating." Mike Liassides at doom-metal.com - - - CD JEWELCASE AVAILABLE HERE: https://avantgardemusic.bandcamp.com/album/percezione - - - The album is structured as a descent, albeit not necessarily a negative one. Certainly not the Fall of the True Lightbringer, but rather the fall of a common demon, of any demon. A spiritual and psychological descent in the perception everyone has of the external world and its stimuli, of its panorama. Percezione tries to outline a symbolical picture of what Men and their Societies consist of today. The use of the Italian language has been rooted in the concept since its very beginning. The choice of a slow, sombre, black-metal-stained sound is a natural and a due one.Expand
