These songs are like a time capsule of my youth, from high school crushes to touring for the first time to fearing the weight of the adulthood that I now exist in. The oldest songs on the album are nearly 15 years old, and I've watched my career go from bedroom recordings to big studios back to bedrooms. I never intended to be in a DIY punk band, it's just something that happened and changed the course of my entire life. Today, I'm no longer a teenager. I've got a husband, a job, an apartment, and a lot of gray hair. I've grown enormously as a singer and songwriter, but these songs still have a carefree attitude, vulnerability, honesty, and youthful energy that I could never replicate today.
