‘Festival of Fun’ is the third full-length album by Boston Based outfit Post Mortem. Originally released on Shit-Kicka Records in 1989, and later re-issued by Ever Rat Records and Red Light in the nineties, this band and their legend have never faded. They play a very different form of early death metal that mixes in the varieties of both punk and jazz with humor. The concept behind the band was that they didn’t give a damn. The Ever Rat version was issued with the cover art you see here. The Shit-Kicka release had a completely different cover. Cianide, Disharmonic Orchestra, Anal Cunt, and Grief are all bands that have acknowledged Post Mortem as influences. Also available from Post Mortem by PIG is their debut album ‘Coroner’s Office’ and their fourth full length ‘Destined for Failure.’
