Yin is the passive principle in nature that in Chinese cosmology is exhibited in darkness, cold, or wetness and that combines with yang to produce all that comes to be. Nothing is Yin or Yang in entirety, all things are some combination of the two, and this album has a dominance of Yin energy, but it is speckled with elements of Yang, as the Yang album is also speckled with elements of Yin. Yin and Yang are concepts from China but they exist in different cultures and philosophies, particularly in Hinduism and Buddhism. Most of the names of the pieces are in Sanskrit following philosophical concepts in line with Yin/Yang theory.
