Soul Orbit is MoonBass' second release, and first full length studio album. Enjoy contrasting songwriting styles from Great Southern WA songwriters and performers Rosie (Rosé) Williamson and David Rastrick, with a soulful and funky band. The material on the album swings from gentle soul RnB to Afro and Latin-funk.
MoonBass formed as a group of musicians with a love of funky music in Great Southern Western Australia, around Kwoorabup-Denmark and Kinjarling-Albany. The group adapted to a local market dominated by rock cover bands, by playing predominantly RnB, soul, funk and disco classics at live shows, whilst writing and recording original material, slipping this into live shows to test its danceability.
