Claire spent the punk years working with Wishbone Ash before recording this album for the Coda label, a Beggars Banquet subsidiary. It marks a move into a new area of expression. Here she experiments with more electronic sounds, some funk, and some expansive gothic rock as on the track "First Night In New York" produced by Vic Coppersmith Heaven. She manages to persuade Gary Numan to accompany her on the electro track 'Ultra Violet Light' and persuades friends Alan White (YES) and Laurie Wisefield (Wishbone Ash) to also play. But it is her track, 'The Moon is a Powerful Lover' which perhaps indicates the direction of travel for her developing musical journey into something more avant-garde.Expand
