The tenor saxophone is a colossal instrument for it's potential, which many of its most interesting players have pushed to extremes, within differing contexts. The players I’ve enjoyed listening to have explored its inner core and come up with some diverse and stunning results.
The tenor saxophone has been with me for a large part of my life, not always an easy road of exploration. These tracks are a synthesis of the sounds and notes which have influenced me.
The titles I’ve chosen for Water Drips Clear are inspired by the urban environment I live in and the ever present fight of the new against the consistent flow of the tides of The River Thames coming and going.
