The Merchant has been years in the making as the band went through several iterations of members and hard restarts. Introduced to each other as a four piece, the journey was ultimately taken as a duo out of necessity.
This release was a huge growth experience for both members. Ken developed the coordination to sing and play at the same time, learned how to deliver metal style vocals, and gained experience in recording. Jachin experienced the process of writing full songs, developing ideas to a theme, and the pains of tracking.
