This is the debut release from the 2nd Chocolate line-up and the first of what would be several releases on Out Of Step. Simon Finbow of Ippo Rock City's premier industrial post-punk noise merchants, Optimum Wound Profile, was recruited to take over from Ed on lead vocal duties and add some bite to proceedings. The band also added some funk and hip hop flavour to proceedings - because we all wanted to be in the Beastie Boys. Not everyone liked it at the time, but y'know....fuck 'em. Jason Whittaker (also from Optimum Wound Profile) was our enabler on the hip hop front and spent many, many hours in his bedsit working like a hero with Ed to assemble the loops and samples into a set of cohesive backing tracks. None of us had done this sort of thing before and we think it came out pretty well.
