"If Harvester somehow turned prolific, with their nonchalant hooks, they could be as hip and trendy as Pavement, Guided by Voices, and Sebadoh; but they’d have to start now because in another year and a half hip and trendy will be somewhere else. They come out of nowhere (actually Chico, California) with the Lo-Fi Soccer Camp EP (Lather). In “I Know That I Know This Won’t Get Caught In Your Eye,” the second half of the chorus comes bursting out of the rumbling lowlands of the rest of the song in a raw, lightly tumbling, jaunty manner. “Raster Boy” is a full-on, no-nonsense take of the kind of thing Pavement was doing with “Cut Your Hair,” and all the better for it. With “It’s Been a Long Day” they mix a little Tom Petty and Magnetic Fields in the bowl to create a haunting lament." - The Bob
