The work "Trinity of Decay", which was released in January 2017, lasts 16:49. It includes two songs and was immortalized by the Linz-based Ambient / Doom group Anderwelt together with the experimental filmmaker James Quinn in a bewitching and disturbing music film.
The direct fusion of song and video production created a total work of art whose epic and unique style stands out from many other works in this genre. The result is more than just a music video, but an independent film - a music film if you want.
The non-linear narrative structure, characterized by visual metaphors and allegories, gives an insight into the story of a woman who is confronted with the darkest demons of her mind. While roaming the nightmarish darkness of the forests and the bizarre worlds of her subconscious, she meets her personal three pillars of "Trinity of Decay" represented by classic surrealism - hatred, fear and sadness.
Experimental filmmaker James Quinn directed, wrote and produced the film, with Heike Christiane Kotsios and Ralph Saml in the leading roles.
Trinity of Decay celebrated its Austrian premiere on November 18, 2016 at Moviemento in Linz. As a supporting program, the band Anderwelt also performed live in the cinema and the filmmaker and the leading actress were subsequently interviewed.
