An album that somehow made it through to the end, despite the hurdles. Originally intended as the FINAL album, SOUND TEST (originally "Sound Test Of The Brain") is an album with at least 90% of a focus on trying new sounds. (At least it was, before 50% of the album ended up being the same fucking soundfont but, oh well. Ooooh lunar fucked up what a shock-)
About a year in development, at least 40-45 tracks were conceptualized and made throughout the start of production, winding down to the final 8 within the album. The others didn't really fit, and these are the main 8 songs that I felt perfectly summarized just what was going on with my mental space between 2023 and 2024. Rampant anxiety, blissful ignorance, cautious optimism, and decline of self-worth all masked in a bright, false exterior.
tl;dr - i felt like shit for a very long time, and its why album sounds the way it does. it's not the final album anymore, although I might not be too sure at this point.
