BlokeBird is a collection of noisy music ideas and long endings by DSLB, a Chrissie Butler solo project.
The title track Bloke Bird was inspired by Grayson Perry's win of the Turner in 2003. Potter's aren't supposed to win major fine art prizes and beautiful ceramics that depict issues of abuse, atrocity and discrimination don't usually attract column inches in the international press. Combined with Perry's collection of the Turner crossed-dressed as "Claire", with his family at his side, the event plainly ached for a good song.
