Crow Hunter is a guitar riff oriented band with anthemic lyrics and catchy, head-bobbing hooks. Their debut album name "SOMD" stems from the area that the members of the band have grown up in since kids, rural Southern Maryland. Leading the pack in the recent Southern Maryland original music scene resurgence, Crow Hunter mixes styles new and old. From the Godfathers of Rock like Black Sabbath and Lynyrd Skynyrd to modern heavyweights Pantera, Down and Corrosion of Conformity, the band has no one definable sound. Stoner rock, stoner metal, groove metal, sludge metal, southern metal, southern rock, doom metal, punk rock and hardcore all encompass the sound of the band. Lyrically contemporary and rhythmically sound, the band gives off high energy in their compositions with a need to reach listeners of all ages. Stout soaked guitar riffs, groovy drum fills, thick bass tone and a mix of heavy growls and high tenor cleans, the new album "SOMD" will leave you stuck in the mud, fired up, in a state of reflection and yet somehow still satisfied at the same time!
