I hope that people will recognize that a lot of love has gone into this project over the last year and a half.
I started making this album in my final year at high school, I had only been playing guitar for a year at the time and
it very quickly absorbed every waking hour of my life. Influences include Jimi Hendrix, The Byrds, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd and blues guitarists like Elmore James and Guitar Slim.
This album was made during a very introspective time, the confusion of maturity and a need express myself with music at all costs.
The term "Down Going" comes from Nietzsche's book, 'Thus Spoke Tharathustra'. Which I read through often, I wanted to create an audible visual of many of the scenes that stood out to me.

I played every recorded instrument on this project except for the drums which I programmed digitally.
