+++ Press +++ OUTLAWS OF THE SUN: "Vigor won’t be for everyone but if you’re looking for a different style of Instrumental Rock then Murrayglossus have delivered the goods here with a rich, solid and highly satisfying record that has some epic sounding instrumental passages to stand out from the crowd." https://outlawsofthesun.blogspot.com/2025/05/murrayglossus-vigor-album-review.html THE ELITE EXTREMOPHILE: "Murrayglossus’s second release is a doomy-yet-warm collection of instrumental compositions. Guitar lines are expansive and unpredictable, and the band is successful at infusing the usual vocabulary of post-metal with a bit more vigor. Influences from stoner metal, krautrock, and even a bit of jazz help to keep this release varied and interesting." https://theeliteextremophile.com/2025/07/07/odds-ends-july-7-2025/ BETREUTESPROGGEN.DE: So geht “Vigor“ für Freunde des instrumentalen Sounds mal angenehm vertrackt, mal hypnotisch und schon auch eingängig gut in die Ohrenpartie rein. https://www.betreutesproggen.de/2025/05/murrayglossus-vigor/ +++ Background +++ After the spontaneous creative outburst of 2022's debut EP 'Earthcore' which was produced in only four months, 'Vigor' represents more than two years of work shaped by personal upheavals and transformative experiences. The music is about inner struggles, finding strength and learning acceptance. The idea behind 'Vigor' was to create a warm, immersive sound filled with doomy, fuzzy textures, pulsating grooves and lots of depth. Compared to Earthcore, 'Vigor' is less metal-driven, more diverse, and more accessible for listeners to dive into while still delivering raw power and intensity.Expand
