The next chapter is here. “III - Thrill Kill: The Kill Team Murders” is meant to travel forwards in time both musically and conceptually.
7 years have passed since the Abu Ghraib Prisoner Torture. After such a horrific tragedy with blatant evidence, during a still raging War On Terror, one would expect an entire administration of appointed leaders to learn from their actions. They would be wrong. The so-called “Kill Team”, the title given to the group by its own members, consisted of U.S. Army soldiers from the Bravo Company, 3rd Platoon, who set out at least three cold murders of completely innocent people. May Gul Mudin, Marach Agha, and Mullah Adahdad rest in peace. These are the only people the “Kill Team” got caught taking the lives of. How many more people could they have killed?
The musical evolution mirrors our leap forward in time. In contrast to “Exhibit B: Dehumanization Tactics”, the acoustic drums and percussion are replaced with sampled drums and percussion, played through a MIDI controller. Stylistically, it attempts to broaden Avant-Garde Metal/Free Death/Metal In Opposition’s boundaries further.
May the beauteous souls of the innocent, undeserving of their unnatural and untimely passing, be recollected into sublime understanding.
