I had this idea to make an album based around the classical acoustic guitar, I wanted to make music that was less noisy, less aggressive.
I played the guitar everyday until some songs started to form, first "No Cookies", then "Where's Will" and "Not@ Robot"
I ended up writing most of the album in a month
Production wise it was a challenge to stick to my original idea, I purposefully reduced my palette of instruments
Originally I didn't want to add any drums at all but I gave in in the end, it was too tempting, so there are splashing of drums here and there
Lyrically fairly socially political, anti capitalism (All is His, Serf), anti on line society ("Not@ Robot", "Vijion", and to some extent "No Cookies")
Nofra Jet is the tale of an economic migrant
Lil Hobo is inspired by the American TV series which follows a wandering dog around, I always related to this as I often changed job and changed location, it's also inspired by Celine's "Voyage au bout de la nuit"
Spring Ahoy is the only "upbeat" "fun" track! with perhaps "Ghost Isle" for it's quirkiness
Globally the most personal album yet, and the most daring in it's non hip hop approach
