Now regarded as an out-and-out classic of the early shoegaze / dreampop scene, Untouched – Secret Shine's debut album on Sarah Records – was the culmination of the band's development from the sparsely wistful, almost acoustic sound of their debut 7" to full-on, multi-textured guitar atmospherics – albeit ones still underpinned by a gorgeous sense of melody, with Jamie and Kathryn's voices melting into the pounding sonics of Temporal or leading the way on Toward The Sky and Underworld, two skitteringly perfect pop songs.
