Singlelito is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Colombia with a mission to do experimental rock, jazz and other sub-genres related. Pahntark is his new album, with a cryptic story about an earth about to dissapear, existencial doubt, love through harsh times, but most of all, an amalgam of abstract ideas. This is an album composed of improvisational forms mostly along with influence from Soft Machine, Magma, Frank Zappa, Henry Cow and related.
Some liner notes:
I made this album on my first year of studying music on Universidad del Norte, and my first time living on a city. I feared that i wouldn't be able to record anything because of moving to the city but i was proven wrong since the University had reservations available for every classroom so, i took the chance to record as much as i could there. I did all vocals, guitars, mix and mastering at home then, and then i released this in a Mexican label called "Cjantal" with a limited 10 copy CDr edition.
Prior to recording this i was (and still am) hugely into Magma so i really wanted to do an album with a make-up language (a con-lang for the nerds) so, it's very kobaïan inspired but it actually mantains a structure similar to english but with german looking gibberish, and it actually holds grammatical meaning... I might release the translations some day, but for now, it's all a secret ;)
