Ikigai is an incredibly eclectic work featuring two hours of chiptune black metal, symphonic black metal, noise, jazz, experimental, jam band rock, dungeon synth, and whatever else galfroa felt inspired to make; with galfroa's albums, and especially with ikigai, you never know what to expect next; not even the fidelity stays the same. Ikigai presents amazing anti-chiptune riffing, dungeon synth infused symphonic black metal, long-form drum solos, electronic psychedelia, harsh noise, the occasional anime sample, and a whole lot more. The album also comes with extensive liner notes and a 160 page e-book written by the artist featuring several stories~!
