Siberian with a warm heart and nimble fingers Anton Ivanchenko aka LTF is returned to the label BlackMilkMusic with new work. For the time past, from the output of Supatravel/Whisper 7 inch record, Anton's funk engine was pumped and reached a new momentum. The logic of the second plate follows the logic of first: if the A-side ready to squeeze your entire flava to the last drop of sweat, side B is like a slow monologue of your mysterious interlocutor. But the beat, the bass, the drive.....hiding from their pressure has become much more difficult. Teahupoo a track inspired by waves near the island of Tahiti where the surfers are not forgiving of their mistakes, and women ripping off men head. The opening track breaks and bass are interrupted by pits that sets the attitude with which you look at something unknown and thrilling. High-hats and crash tricky drawn microgroove patterns, wherein the second scratches and acidic twists of the Moog synthesizer, the bass lifts you higher and higher, and the horns begins to play only in order to break into the delay — this move has become a business card of Anton. Step Out of Your Shadow opens with enticing notes of nostalgia for Skalpel and other Ninja Tune era circa 2000's. The track was taxiing this Noir mood with anthem-organ that brings to mind the non-existent memories of the Hacienda club. The ingredients of this record became the Yugoslav free-jazz, the Soviet and Cuban orchestras and pop ensembles. But the amazing thing is that this batch arose not so much funk, but more madchester and big beat. If you managed to forget about these genres, the new LTF record will bring them back, albeit for eight minutes.Expand
