Raptusound is a UK and European headlining band from Leicester who play both a huge electro rock set (like Muse) and an intimate, stripped-back acoustic set (like Ben Howard). Raptusound are three musicians who write, record, produce and perform their own music and who have rapidly made a name for themselves as a powerful and accomplished live act, bring featured on BBC 6 Music under the BBC Introducing banner and also The Beat (BBC Introducing East Midlands) for both styles, as well receiving extensive support from both local and national radio and press.
Regarding their electro rock sound, Raptusound have been described as an electro RADIOHEAD meets a heavy ALT-J with a dash of JOY DIVISION; their powerful meld of rugged guitars, driving bass, impassioned vocals, soaring keyboards and Herculean drums make Raptusound a formidable sound, and one that has been captured in their debut 4-track EP release ‘From My Hands’.
Drawing inspiration from their diverse music influences, and writing songs that reflect the more searching and emotive aspects of life, Raptusound's debut EP captures the energy, intensity and atmosphere of their live performances.
