Hello everyone. This is my 2023 stand-up tour show 'Howl'.
Most of what I would like to say about it is covered in the spoken word introduction I have added to the album. In brief, Howl took a long time to write, took quite a toll to perform, but was worth it many times over for the incredible responses I have received.
I am very proud of the show, but find listening back to it quite difficult. Which is why it's taken quite a while to release. It's about alcohol, what it did for me, and what it did to me. As I'm sure you can imagine, this is very fertile comedic ground, but also requires a level of honesty and introspection that means the balance of the show has to be just right. I do hope you feel I've achieved that balance. In spite of the above, I must point out (and remind myself), it is also very funny!
If this recording finds you somewhere on your own journey with alcohol or any other addiction I wish you well. And I hope it is a helpful companion as you trudge the road.
