Most of the songs were written in November 2018 for National Solo Album Month when a couple of the TascFam recommended I check out nasoalmo.org, (this is where the title, Not So Alamo, comes from, although now that I'm rereading it, the title should have probably been Not So Elmo) where the goal is to write, record, and release an album in a month.
Due to creative burnout (go figure), the material never came out. At some point around this time, Jason from paintedblonde.com mentioned that he wanted to put something out from BCC.
Without him motivating me to put the tape out and imposing a deadline, these songs may have been vaulted for a while. Many thanks to Jason for making this happen.

(One interesting note: when trying to put this album on Spotify and streaming services, the title kept auto-correcting to Not so Alamo, with the word "so" not being capitalized. I'm no capitalization expert, but I never knew that "so" was a word that does not technically get capitalized in titles.)
